On Hawaii Island we have millions of pounds of produce grown but never used, I call this Stranded Farm Produce.
I choose to use Stranded Farm Produce not because it's easy, but because it is hard. These are products that don't look pretty enough for the grocery stores or are too small. This type of produce requires ultra creativity to develop new products.
Creating real life stories for you to be a part of, stories of creative solutions for all kinds of products from coffee to purple potatoes.
Together we will take what seems to be a "Problem", add Creativity, and create solutions by developing new foods.

BECOMING THE SOLUTION
In 2019 I started working with different types of farms in Hawaii. I learned farmers grow lots of produce and don't use a portion because it looks less than perfect, too small for market, or goes bad before being sold.
At first I learned we have about 50,000 pounds of stranded coffee beans. Then hundreds of gallons of cacao nectar. Lemons, oranges, purple potatoes...the list of how much stranded products we have is well in the millions of pounds a year!
Instead of looking at it as a problem, for three years I tried looking at it as an opportunity for Hawaii Island to be a bit more food secure. In 2022 I finally start doing something about it. I developed my first few products and now I'm selling them.
With millions of pounds of farm produce to capture on Hawaii Island, every product we create has one mission. To generate revenue so we can reinvest it back into developing new food products that are nutritious and delicious.
